As National Events Coordinator, Maronel blends her enthusiasm for event planning and passion for community uplift to support LIFT’s national and regional fundraising efforts by shaping experiences for donors and members.

Maronel LIFTs for the systemically disenfranchised and marginalized. She LIFTs because she understands the transformative power of trusted relationships and hope. She LIFTs because, in the face of inequity, she believes she would be remiss not to.

Before joining LIFT, Maronel worked at the Greater Washington Hispanic Chamber of Commerce as an Event Planning and Marketing Coordinator where she executed events such as business expos, galas and workshops to empower small businesses in the Greater Washington region as well as connect corporations to the growing Latinx market. Prior to that, she worked at the Advisory Board Company as a Coordinator and Marketing Associate. While there, she also served on the leadership team of their People of Color Affinity Group where she worked to create a more inclusive and understanding environment for her colleagues. Maronel is a proud alumna of The George Washington University School of Business where she received her bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in event management in 2014.
