Collin supports LIFT’s national development team and LIFT’s CEO and CDO to identify, cultivate, and steward LIFT’s major gifts donors and maintain a sustainable donor pipeline across LIFT’s regions.
Collin LIFT’s because he sees the best in LIFT’s members and refuses to live alongside poverty without giving his best effort to alleviate it.
Prior to coming to LIFT, Collin was a corps member at City Year Washington D.C. where he served in a first-grade classroom. Working with a team of 16 other corps members, Collin entered one of Washington D.C.’s largest elementary schools and experienced up-close the difficulties faced by our nation’s schools in low-income areas. Though City Year put him in challenging situations, the idealistic work of the organization pushed Collin to continue to work to support children and families which is how he ended up at LIFT’s headquarters.
Collin is the co-chair of the City Year Alumni Association of Washington, D.C. where he is responsible for co-leading initiatives in the D.C.-area for City Year alumni. Collin graduated from North Central College with a B.A. in Political Science and a minor in Global Studies and is a long-time native of Illinois. While at North Central College, Collin worked as an intern at the Citizen Advocacy Center aiding their lawyers in providing pro bono legal services to community members and promoting civic education.
