Christine Kang

Program Director, LIFT-New York

New York -

As the Program Director of LIFT-New York, Christine ensures the overall programmatic success of the New York office. She manages the local program team, builds partnerships, and adjusts programmatic strategy to ensure services to parents are as efficient and impactful as possible.

Christine LIFTs because she watched her brilliant, hard-working immigrant mother lift their family into a place of stability and comfort. Having lived it, Christine knows firsthand that the power of parental love and resilience can change children’s lives. She is committed to supporting parents achieve their own goals so that they and their children can enjoy financial security, pursue personal well-being, and build strong social networks.

Before coming to LIFT, Christine managed stakeholder engagement at a volunteer-led pediatric healthcare organization called Project Sunshine. She also oversaw grant-making, Board engagement, and internal operations at Help For Children, a foundation that funded child abuse prevention and treatment programs. Christine earned her BA in Psychology at NYU and her Master of Public Administration from Baruch College, and she was part of the 2018 American Express Leadership Institute.

Christine has an identical twin sister (her fun fact!). She loves deep conversations, books of almost any kind, and Marvel movies.
