At LIFT-Chicago, Casey leads the outreach and recruitment of parents and families through strong partnerships with local early childhood care providers. She works to develop and expand LIFT’s recruiting strategies to enroll new parents and conducts intakes upon arrival.
Day-to-day, Casey acts as a primary contact for community partners and new parents. She serves as a connection point between parents and the coaching program, ensuring resources are up-to-date and passed along when necessary. Casey also, along with the National Program Team, develops programming to increase parents’ social capital including on-site suppers, peer groups, and community events.
Casey LIFTs because she believes in the power of relationships to bring change. By ensuring each person to come through LIFT’s doors feels seen and heard, she believes we can move closer to sustainable, systematic change for our parents and families.
Casey received her Bachelor of Arts in Social Justice Studies and Professional Writing from Miami University. While in school, Casey spent two summers as an intern with LIFT-Chicago assisting clients in one-on-one meetings. Since graduating, Casey has served in the Peace Corps as a Youth Asset Builder and completed an AmeriCorps service year with Asian Human Services as an Employment Coach. During her service year at AHS, she conducted one-on-one and group meetings with clients to discuss resumes, cover letters, goals, and action steps. She also redesigned AHS’s existing interviewing seminar and assisted in creating and implementing a new Job Readiness Training program. It is through this relationally-driven, direct service, that Casey found her way back to LIFT-Chicago.
