At LIFT- New York, Brittany manages the day to day operations of the coaching program, through supervising a team of social work interns/coaches. She also builds and maintains strong partnerships with schools of Social Work nationally, in order to recruit and retain qualified and enthusiastic coaches. In collaboration with the National Program Team and other regional Program Managers, Brittany develops and facilitates relevant trainings for coaches and staff, as well as monitors and makes adjustments to data collection strategy. Additionally, she provides some one-on-one direct coaching to LIFT-New York members, empowering them to achieve goals in the realm of finances, education, and employment.
Brittany LIFTs because she believes in the power of relationships toward affecting change. She is passionate about creating an equitable playing field, where every single person has a realistic opportunity to improve their lives and the lives of their families.
Brittany is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than eight years of international and domestic human services experience. She has been an English teacher/Program Coordinator in Sub-Saharan Africa, worked with newly arrived refugees in Louisville, Kentucky, participated in psychological health research in southern Europe, provided mental health services to veterans and families involved with the child welfare system on the south and west sides of Chicago, and served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Middle East/North Africa. She brings a wealth of transferable clinical, case management, and supervisory experience to her position as a Coaching Program Manager at LIFT. Brittany received her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Political Science from The George Washington University and Master’s degree in Social Work with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Louisville.
Outside of LIFT, Brittany is an ardent YOGI, who practices hot power vinyasa every chance she gets – namaste!
