On February 26th the LIFT-Chicago region will hold its Second Annual Regional Summit. This Summit is an opportunity for LIFT’s 100+ student advocates, allies and partners from the greater Chicago area to further connect to each other and the larger anti-poverty movement. This year’s Summit theme is “Problem Solving Across Systems”.

Breakfast LIFT Series

The LIFT-Boston Region will be hosting “Breakfast LIFTs” each month starting in January.  Please join us for a light breakfast and an hour long presentation and conversation about our work and vision for the Boston region.  You will also have the opportunity to meet Board members, staff and volunteers.

Walk/Ride Day with the LIFT Bike Project

LIFT-Boston invites all community members to a ceremony for participants of the the LIFT Bike Project, which provides homeless and low-income LIFT clients living in the Cambridge area with free helmets, locks, and refurbished bicycles. On May 27, community members will be presented with their new transportation on the steps of the Cambridge City Hall with brief speeches and light refreshments.

The Honorable Thomas M. Philadelphia, PA (March 8, 2012) – LIFT-Philadelphia, a local antipoverty organization, has selected David Eisner, the President and CEO of the National Constitution Center, to receive its inaugural Lifting Communities Award in recognition of his exceptional commitment to civic engagement and service. The award will be presented at LIFT-Philadelphia’s annual Spring Celebration on Thursday, April 12th from 6:30-8:30pm at the Racquet Club of Philadelphia.
