Presented on Temple University's campus, LIFT-Philadelphia and members of Temple Habitat for Humanity, National Council of Negro Women, Student Peace Alliance, Temple University Purpose, Students for Environmental Action, Having Ambitions ‘N’ Devotion for Service, and Sociology Undergraduate Minor & Major Association came together to present the event, which lasted from 6:00pm until midnight.
Philadelphia 4000 included three separate segments, where participants received information from guest speakers from the community, heard stories from formerly or currently homeless Philadelphians, and discussed issues related to homelessness in a group roundtable. Several musical performances contributed to the event as well. Philadelphia 4000 raised over $250 for LIFT-Philadelphia to continue its services to assist homeless individuals and families in Philadelphia.
