Tony manages daily operations and builds the capacity of LIFT-DC’s Perry School office by analyzing program data, developing local resource partnerships, and supervising and supporting five Fellows to deliver the highest impact for LIFT-DC’s members.
Tony LIFTs to support the potential that every individual and every community can achieve when connected to valuable resources and opportunities. Having witnessed widespread inequality and economic isolation in his hometown of Baltimore, Tony was consistently motivated to seek ways to positively impact the world around him. He first knew he wanted to work for LIFT after stumbling across an article in the New York Times that highlighted the organization’s innovative approach to ending poverty.
Before coming to LIFT, Tony gained direct service experience tutoring adults in English as a Second Language at Catholic Charities’ Esperanza Center of Baltimore, and mentoring middle school students in rural Minnesota as an AmeriCorps member. Tony earned his Bachelors in Art History from Carleton College, and continues to study and create art in his free time.
