Molly Day

Senior Vice President of Strategy & Growth

National Office - ,

Molly leads the organization’s efforts to ensure the sustainability and diversity of revenue streams; promote awareness of and engagement with LIFT’s mission; and co-leads the development of LIFT’s strategic vision.

She LIFTs because she believes in the innate potential of all people. Your zip code should not determine your capacity to aspire nor should it affect the opportunities you are afforded. She’s inspired every day by LIFT’s work because we seek out and cultivate this potential in everyone, and in doing this, we are weaving together stronger and more vibrant communities.

Prior to joining LIFT, Molly was a Manager on the Portfolio Team at New Profit, Inc, a Boston-based venture philanthropy fund. As a Manager, Molly was responsible for the day-to-day management of New Profit’s Early Childhood Fund and supported the portfolio team on investment selection of high-potential social entrepreneurs. Before joining New Profit, Molly co-founded and led campusCATALYST, an organization that offers undergraduates the opportunity to create change in their communities by partnering with local nonprofits to solve their problems. Molly has also worked for the U.S. Department of State and Senator Barack Obama and has conducted field research in rural Malawi, where she explored the intersection between HIV/AIDS education, microfinance and women’s empowerment. Molly received her B.S. in social policy and international studies from Northwestern University, graduating with honors.

Molly is an avid foodie, runner and bookworm. She lives in New York City with her husband, Will, and her dog, Sammy.

As someone who lives in New York City but works in DC, I’d have to go with teleportation.
