LIFT is a growing movement to combat poverty and expand opportunity for all people in the United States. LIFT currently runs centers staffed by trained volunteers to serve low-income individuals and families. LIFT clients and volunteers work one-on-one to find jobs, secure safe and stable housing, make ends meet through public benefits and tax credits, and obtain quality referrals for services like childcare and healthcare. Simultaneously, the LIFT experience pushes volunteers to grapple with our country’s most challenging issues related to poverty, race, inequality, and policy.

Development Assistant
Location: Washington, DC
LIFT is currently seeking a driven, self-motivated, and enthusiastic individual to serve as a Development Assistant in LIFT’s National Office in Washington, DC. This is a part-time position.
The Development Assistant will gain invaluable, hands-on experience working at one of the nation’s up-and-coming nonprofits. You will come away with relevant experience in a direct mail campaign, donor management/stewardship, event planning, in-depth directed research and analysis, and various administrative tasks, as well as an extensive network of contacts and references.
Development Associate
Location: North Philadelphia, PA
LIFT-Philadelphia seeks a driven and passionate professional to engage in building LIFT-Philadelphia’s base of local funding support. The Development Associate will work closely with LIFT-Philadelphia’s Executive Director to research and pursue funding opportunities from foundations and corporations, individuals, and public sources. This is a part-time, 20-hour per week position.
